Brief in english:
Arkipaivan kartta (Everyday life Map)
Our everyday life is made of different situations and routines in which we take part without reflecting our relationship towards them. Still, it would be important for a designer to understand this invisible everyday life.
From this viewpoint we decided to make an everyday life map. With this map we have been trying to figure everyday life from the viewpoint of the present as well as from the future. We have been collecting problems as well as wishes and suggestions of how things could be done differently. The focus is not that much on what people would want to have on their picture phones, but it is more on broader needs, to which technology could possibly answer in a positive way.
The intention hasn't been making grand generalisations but more like collecting and analysing different experiences and viewpoints. This everyday life map is divided into different islands: the islands of being together, experiences and well-being, routines, life-style, influencing and knowledge and media. Dispite of the divisions it is clear that different areas of life overlap. (Descriptios and input only in Finish)
